Here’s How It Works:
As water enters the truck, the first sensor at the back is activated. As the water fills the tank and flows towards the front sensor, both floats raise at different times, actively calculating the volume of liquid present.
This dynamic measurement process ensures accuracy even when the truck is not on level ground, providing reliable data regardless of the terrain.
The information gathered by the sensors is then relayed to the display box, where it is presented as a percentage of volume. This data is seamlessly transferred to the Bluetooth box, which communicates with our proprietary app, Strait Dispatch. The app processes the data and converts it into barrels, providing real-time insights into the volume of water being transferred.
By leveraging advanced sensor technology and intelligent data processing algorithms, Strait Gauge eliminates the guesswork associated with traditional measurement methods. Our system ensures that every drop of water is accurately accounted for, minimizing the risk of errors and discrepancies.

Despite the presence of dead space, unlike the Ball Float System, Strait Gauge eliminates the dead space** from the upper 80-90% of the tank and reads accurately to 100%. Our gauge is meticulously calibrated to address this challenge effectively. Unlike the ball float system, where dead space is situated at the top of the fill, our system compensates for this volume discrepancy right from the start of the load. This strategic calibration ensures that there's no guesswork involved in determining the contents of the dead space—it's already factored into the calculations.
As a result, our system eliminates the concept of dead space** entirely. By proactively accounting for this volume discrepancy, we ensure precise measurements from the onset of the loading process, eliminating uncertainties and streamlining operations for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
